If you're unable to access your Fortnite or Epic Games account, here's how to find your Fortnite account email address.
The internet has made a lot of things much easier than they used to be. You can also log in to everything automatically now, which can make figuring out which email you signed up with, including Fortnite, a real challenge.
Sometimes you'll need to migrate over to a new PC or a different platform, especially with the release of the PS5 and Xbox Series X. And, if you're a lapsed Fortnite player who's thinking of rejoining the fray, you may need some help remembering your credentials. So, learning where your email address is for Fortnite can really help.
And with the arrival of Chapter 3, Season 3: Vibin, there's even more reason to revisit Fortnite. Especially if you're a fan of Darth Vader or Indiana Jones. So, here's how to discover which email you've signed up with, in Fortnite.
How To Find Your Fortnite/Epic Games Email If Logged In
This is the easier path to finding your Epic Games or Fortnite email address. Hopefully, you've already signed in, and just want to double-check which email you used to set up the account originally.
Here is how to find your Fortnite/Epic Games email if logged in:
- Head to the top right of the screen and select the Settings icon.
- Choose Support. You should be sent to the Epic website. If you're on PC, you can always just head there yourself.
- Now, select My Account in the top right of the screen, and scroll down within Personal Info to see your Contact and Address Information.
- Your email address will be there.
By making use of this Epic Games account recovery option, you will be able to easily find your Fortnite email address. This is useful for players who need to verify their account or reset their password, but cannot recall the email address used during the initial setup.
How To Find Your Fortnite/Epic Games Email If You're Not Logged In
This is the trickier of the methods. If you don't know your email address, then you can't log in to your account to find your email address… obviously.
Luckily, there are a couple of things you can still try.
First, head to the Epic Games website and go to log in. You might suddenly remember which account is linked to your Epic account, in which case you could use your Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo IDs to log in.
If that doesn't jog your memory though, click the Forgot Your Password option, and just enter the email addresses you think you may have used. You'll get an email address to the ones that have accounts and can then use those to sign in. This is very much a brute force, trial-and-error approach. If you’re lucky, one of these email addresses will be the right one.
How To Change Your Fortnite Account Email Address
If, after checking which email is linked to your Fortnite account, you decide you want to change it, you can do so. Start by logging in to your Epic account. You should be able to see the General Settings page.
From here, scroll down to where it says Account Info. Here, you'll see a blue button labelled Edit next to your current email address. Enter your new email address. This will trigger a security code being sent to the existing email address.
Enter this code into the security code window, and click Continue. Finally, your new email address will receive a verification link in an email. Click on this to verify your email, and this will change the address linked to your Fortnite account.
It's important to note that you cannot use an email address that's already linked to another Epic Games account. This will cause an error message to appear. If you get really desperate, you can contact Epic Games for further support. But in most cases, the tips we've outlined in this article will be more than enough to get you back into your account.
And once you're in, you might need some help to fix the Fortnite game chat.
