Despite what you might be expecting, it turns out that Hitman 3 is coming to Nintendo Switch. although there doesn't seem to be a firm release date for it just yet.
It's not coming there in the way you might expect though.
Instead of it being a scaled-down port or some kind of magic, it's instead using rather impressive cloud streaming technology.
Here's what you need to know to play Hitman 3 on Nintendo Switch.
How to play Hitman 3 on Switch
The first thing you'll need to do is make sure that the Cloud Streaming app is actually available where you are. The website states that "A Cloud Version of a game uses streaming technology to play the game from a server. The Cloud Version requires stable connection to high-speed internet to play. Because the game is streamed from a server, the full software is not downloaded to your Nintendo Switch console. A small download is required to launch the game. After a brief trial of the game, you can choose to purchase an Access Pass through the game launcher in order to continue playing."
If it is, you should be able to check it all by visiting the online webpage or searching for it on the eShop.
Assuming it's available, it should be able to lead you through all of the instructions you need to be able to actually play the game and use this technology.
It's worth noting that this is all somewhat estimations at present because there's currently no release date for it.
Are there other Switch games that use Cloud Streaming
As it stands, the only other game that's available via this service is Control.
That isn't the case all over the world though, and it seems as though Nintendo is merely flirting with the whole concept as it stands.
Hopefully it'll get rolled out everywhere at some point, but we'll just have to be patient.
