There is a suggestion that Rockstar did a deal with Google Stadia. This would certainly explain why the game disappeared from GeForce Now, having previously been available. It may also be a result of the GeForce Now business model. In theory, any digital game purchased from the Steam marketplace could then reinstall it on a virtual machine, and play it via the cloud platform. This gets into the complicated world of licensing agreements and ownership of digital content. In a nutshell, GeForce Now is a service that lets you buy a game once, then play it anywhere. This is somewhat undesirable for the developers of a game, as it would almost certainly lead to reduced sales revenues.

Activision Blizzard and Bethesda both pulled their games from GeForce Now, so Rockstar is by no means unique on this. There is no definitive explanation provided by any of these companies. But generally, money talks. If they've pulled their titles, there's a good chance it's because they don't like the financial implications. Whatever the reason, as things stand, if you want to access GTA V via GeForce Now, you are out of luck.

How To Play GTA V On GeForce Now

Because Rockstar has pulled GTA V from the GeForce Now service, there really isn't what could be considered a legitimate way of playing the game via this service. There may well be some workarounds of dubious provenance - but we certainly aren't going to be recommending any of them.

Ultimately, it comes down to the game creators and Nvidia, to figure out a mutually acceptable agreement, in order to bring GTA V back onto the service. The GFN forum does have a thread where you can let them know what games you want ton the service. You can make your feelings known there. And maybe one day, far off in the future, you may see your wish come true. Or if Nvidia gives Rockstar a big pile of money.
